Trip Photos from July 27, 2012

The five animals on this page were easily found on Mount Evans during a 4 hour stay
on July 27, 2012 from 7 to 11 am.
Pika - Farmers of the Tundra.
Marmot - Know affectionately as "Whistle Pigs" for the noise the make to warn others.
Mountain Goat - dam (Mother Goat).
Mountain Goat - Kid (You knew if I had mom, I'd have to have "The Kid".)
One knows that if you are in the Rocky Mountains, you are going to see
either chipmunks or squirrels. This one is a Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel.

What did I miss photographing? A wedding proposal at 14,000 feet... she said, "Yes."

All of the images on this page were taken with a Sony A77 (Translucent Mirror DSLR) and a 70-400mm Sony lens. All are near full frame shots. Bokeh by the camera, no post production to that part of the image. Don't know what Bokeh is? It is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image.
